We’ve worked on KC homes from every era. The bungalows and Shirtwaists in Brookside and Waldo. The mid-century ranches in Armour Hills and Red Bridge. The newer builds in the Northland and out by Tiffany Springs. If your home needs new windows, siding, or a front door, we can help.

Kansas City weather is hard on houses. Hot, humid summers above 95. Cold winters that drop below zero. Hail storms in the spring. Wind off the prairie. Most homes here have at least one exterior piece that’s seen better days.

Replacement Windows in Kansas City

If your KC home is more than 20 years old, you’re probably dealing with at least one of these:

  • Drafts around the old frames when the wind picks up.
  • Fog or condensation between the glass panes that won’t clear.
  • Sashes that won’t stay up or are painted shut on older homes.
  • Higher utility bills because the HVAC keeps running.
  • Hail strikes from spring storms or wind damage from severe weather.
  • Original 1950s aluminum or builder-grade 90s vinyl that just looks tired.

Our Thermal King replacement windows handle all of it. Thicker frames, better glass, tight modern weather seals. Energy Star certified for the KC climate.

Window Styles for KC Homes

We do the full range. Double hung, casement, sliding, bay, bow, garden, picture.

Double hungs are still the most common around here because they fit everything from a 1920s bungalow to a 2010s two-story. Casements seal tighter, so they work well in newer designs. Bays and bows are great for living rooms and breakfast nooks where you want the view to open up.

Kansas City Siding Replacement

Siding takes the full force of KC weather. Long sun, sudden hail, driving rain, freeze-thaw cycles. When yours starts to crack, fade, or pull away, we can refresh the exterior with James Hardie fiber cement or premium vinyl siding.

James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding

James Hardie is what we recommend when you want long-term durability and strong curb appeal. It’s hail-resistant, doesn’t rot, doesn’t burn, and the factory paint job doesn’t fade. Looks great on traditional KC architecture (Cape Cods, Tudors, Colonials).

Premium Vinyl Siding

Vinyl is the cost-effective path. Thicker panels and richer color than older vinyl. Wash it off once a year. That’s the maintenance.

Entry Door Replacement in Kansas City

Your front door is part of the security envelope and a big part of how the front of your house reads from the street. We install fiberglass and steel entry doors. Fiberglass can be stained to look like real wood. Steel is for maximum security with a flatter, more modern look.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to replace the windows in my KC home?

Most homes are one or two days. Smaller jobs (8 to 12 windows) are usually a single day. Bigger homes with 20+ windows can take two.

Will my house be open to the weather during the install?

Only for a short time per window. We pull one out and put the new one in before moving to the next. Each opening is exposed for maybe 15 to 30 minutes.

Do I need a permit?

For window replacements where you’re not changing the opening size, usually no. If we’re changing dimensions or doing structural work, sometimes yes. We handle the permitting if it’s needed.

How much do replacement windows cost in Kansas City?

Cost depends on the number of windows, sizes, styles, and glass package. We give you a written quote at the free in-home estimate.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We work with financing partners and can walk through options at your estimate.
